BIM design and supervision

Modular boiler house project was made in a single-block design. The main technological equipment - boilers, burners, pumping groups, shut-off and control valves - was placed in a limited space.
Using BIM technology helped us to think over thoroughly and place the equipment compactly, to take into account all the maintenance areas and necessary standard clearances inside the boiler house.

This project provided for installation of a condensing heat recovery unit with the possibility of flue gases extraction from two package boilers. Heat received from condensing heat recovery unit was used for heating of return water before package boilers.
To compensate for increased air-flow resistance of gas path, the installation of a smoke extractor with the possibility of frequency control was provided.
Placement of heat recovery unit, smoke extractor and gas pipes were made in space-limited environment outside the boiler room of the main building.

Our specialists carried out the development of the facility concept, thermal and hydraulic calculations for selection of boiler room equipment, developed all automation systems for operation of the boiler room without constant presence of personnel.
Six hot water boilers, line pumps, water treatment plant, main switchgear, emergency fuel supply system, power supply and control cabinets were installed in the boiler house.
Boiler house arrangement provided for possibility of using the heat from heat recovery units of a neighboring thermal power plant in automatic mode with the possibility of additional heating of the heating transfer agent.

The project provided for technical re-equipment of the existing mazut boiler house for switching to the main type of fuel - natural gas. Additionally, extensive engineering and technical support networks (heat supply, water supply, electricity supply) were designed.
Layout diagram of the boiler house presumed an independent connection of users via a four-pipe heat supply system with an additional technological circuit.
During this project individual chimneys in the boiler room with a hermetically-sealed passage through the existing roof were installed.

In this project, our specialists developed a quick-mounting pumping station, 0, a metal frame for cooling towers.
The project provided for unconventional technical solutions. The tank was constructed on above-ground level and insulated with mineral wool in order to reduce the scope of earthworks. Cooling towers were raised above the level of the pump station roof to avoid frosting of walls. Water flowed by gravity from cooling towers into the tank, which eliminated the possibility of frosting in winter during production downtime.

This project of reconstruction of recycling water supply system using modular fan cooling towers has been repeatedly implemented at oil refinery plant. During this time, the project was improved and updated so that it became a standard project for us.
The project provided for installation of four sections of crossflow cooling towers and its piping. Service platforms and ladders were designed for cooling towers and its engines.

Our company's specialists developed an autonomous water cooling system consisting of a block pumping station, modular cooling towers and water storage tanks.
The whole complex of design works was carried out in an integrated BIM space. Based on the BIM model all design documentation had been prepared, according to which construction and installation works were carried out.
This site was distinguished by its compact placement on the master plan, well-thought-out engineering solutions and modular assembly.

The project provided for reconstruction of four existing vertical bitumen tanks and installation of four additional horizontal ones.
The complexity of this project lay in the fact that it was necessary to constantly heat the viscous product, including the product in pipelines. Our specialists designed a pipe-in-pipe pipeline system with diathermic oil as a heating transfer agent. To heat bitumen in tanks, calculations of thermal balances were performed and coils of required heat exchange area were developed.
Installation of pipelines at the facility was outstanding in relation to the complexity of design.
Pipelines were manufactured in factory conditions and transported for modular assembly on site.

This project provided for installation of modern ultrasonic metering units of natural gas to existing pipelines within the CHP production site.
Using laser scanning technologies, our specialists accurately reproduced existing pipelines and metal structures as a BIM model, which allowed reducing time and budget for the technical re-equipment project.

The project provided for construction of an underground diesel fuel storage for fuel supply for the test benches.
Diesel fuel storage included fuel receiving tank farm and tank farm for consumable fuel. Receiving tank farm consisted of fuel handling equipment, an emergency tank and three receiving tanks. Tank farm for consumable fuel consisted of eight supply tanks and a filtration/fuel metering unit.
The project also provided for laying pipelines in impassable channels, construction of an overpass to the existing building and lightning protection of the facility.

During the project, we performed an installation part: arrangement of technological equipment and its piping in a three-story production building.
The main difficulty was to place a large evaporation plant, since it occupied two floors and needed constant maintenance.
We have developed a detailed BIM model of internal engineering systems, which was presented in videos and renderings, and have prepared working documentation based on it.

Dutch technology of industrial purification of flushing wastewater from food industry factories was used within this project.
Our company's specialists developed a BIM model of equipment, pipelines and overpasses, and prepared isometric drawings for all pipelines.
Within this project almost all pipes were made of HDPE and stainless steel. To perform this piping, unconventional directory files of elements with aluminum slip on flanges and bushings have been developed.
Modification of the model was carried out during construction of the facility and designer supervision.

The project provided for reconstruction of the existing water treatment building with creation of a completely new wastewater purification system from the filters of the city station.
Preliminary structural survey of the building was carried out and a BIM model of existing building structures was created, which made it possible to place new equipment and pipelines.
Purification technology had been developed and provided by our partners, and our company performed installation piping, supporting structures, cable trays and auxiliary utility systems.

Together with our foreign partners, we implemented a molasses production factory. The renderings show one of the largest production workshops of this factory. The project went beyond the classical development frameworks and its adjustment was carried out alongside with purchase of equipment and construction and installation works.
The unique experience of supporting the project and construction process via BIM allowed us to fully appreciate the advantages of this information technology: ease and efficiency of modifications introduction, relevance of working model and documentation, saving the construction budget.

Before developing a project for the technical re-equipment of a tire production workshop, we performed laser scanning.
Thanks to this technology, all geometric data on existing structures and production lines necessary for project development were obtained in a short time.
Based on the results of laser scanning, communications and systems falling within the area of construction and installation work that require relocation were identified.
